patrick m. doty O.D.

Dr. William T. Doty is excited to announce that his son, Dr. Patrick M. Doty, will be joining him at his long-established practice. Together, they will be working side-by-side to provide the highest-quality eye health and vision care to our community.
Having been born and raised in Ridgefield, Dr. Patrick is looking forward to giving back to the community that was able to provide so much for him in his childhood. After graduating from Ridgefield High School, Dr. Patrick attended Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL as an honor student. There, he was accepted into and completed an intensive pre-doctorate study program. He also served with distinction in several elected positions at the school's medical and optometric societies.
For his graduate degree, Dr. Patrick attended the SUNY College of Optometry in New York City. There, he was awarded the distinction of Dean's List and graduated with honors in May of 2017.
In his first year of school, Dr. Patrick founded the Connecticut Student Association of Optometrists. This group worked to increase the access to eye care and education across Connecticut since 2013. For his charitable work, Dr. Patrick was awarded the Morton L. Kimmelman Memorial Award for Student Leadership in Organized Optometry. Dr. Patrick is looking forward to mentoring future doctors and continuing to work for the people of Connecticut through this association.
Dr. Patrick is a specialist in fitting advanced contact lenses, such as ortho-k and scleral lenses. Many patients who have been told they are unable to wear contact lenses have found relief with advanced contact lens fitting methods.
